Monrovia Liberia
Proverbs
27:17
As Iron Sharpens Iron, so one man sharpens another
July 6th through July 14th, 2012
Several months ago I was asked to provide men’s
ministry training assistance to leaders in Monrovian
churches.
After praying and seeking God's will in the matter several ISI leaders decided
to answer the call to Go to Monrovia Liberia this summer.
The main focus of our time in Liberia is to meet with local leaders from several denominations and train them on the Iron Sharpens Iron model so they can deliver a regional event that is biblically sound, kingdom focused, and culturally relevant to their homeland. Unfortunately, due to civil war, Liberia, has suffered and the church has suffered as well. Rebuilding after two civil wars is Liberia’s greatest challenge. The country was devastated and the people traumatized. We believe God would have us man up to help our brothers in this small country in a large continent.
Accoding to Operation World, the three biggest obstacles for the Monrovian church are:
1. Repair of church buildings and reactivation of closed institutions2. Lack of biblical teaching
3. Leadershiup development
